Decisions

There's no such thing as regret in the world.

Once you've made a choice, live on with it, get on with it.

I'm sorry for regreting. I will grow up.

We only live once. We have to make full use of our lives to do things we label meaningful; make decisions we consider wise; and live our lives the way we want them to be. Every decision we make will have an impact on our lives, either to a large or small extent. Thus, we need to consider our choices carefully before paving the wrong way and go on without half realising what we have done.

The steps in considering choices and making decisions involves logical thinking, and in some cases, with a tinge of emotions. Choices are our voices, they're what we want, after minutes and hours of brainstorming, we settle on something. And since they're part of us, we do not have enough ground to regret, right?

But no. Sometimes emotions overwrite logic and makes you think in the reverse direction. You begin to wonder whether you have made the right choice, is it the best choice for you? Are the opportunity costs minimised? Do you rush to confirm that decision because you have to get something out? And then, to fill up the hole, you find various reasons to hopefully complement and fit into the space?
